'Where's the proof?' Goldie Taylor labels 'suspicious hanging' in Mississippi a 'lynching'

Otis Byrd, a convicted murderer paroled in 2006 and missing since March 2, was found hanging in a tree in a rural part of Claiborne County, Miss. today. No details of his death have been released and local authorities have asked for the FBI’s help in determining if this was a suicide or something much more sinister.

From the Clarion-Ledger:

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, the MBI, and the Mississippi Wildlife Fisheries and Parks were conducting a ground search earlier Thursday for Otis Byrd, 54, who has been missing since March 2.

Sheriff Marvin Lucas said that’s when they found the body hanging about a half mile from his last known residence around 10:21 a.m. Thursday. He said during the search for Byrd, they never ruled out that he could have met with foul play.

“We didn’t close down any options because we really didn’t know what had happened to him,” Lucas said. “We can’t rule anything out right now.”

But even though absolutely no evidence has been released that can determine if this was a suicide or foul play, former MSNBC contributor and Twitchy regular Goldie Taylor knows exactly what happened:

If this rush to judgement sounds familiar, it should. In 2009, a census worker was found hanged in Kentucky with “FED” scrawled on his chest. However, the investigation determined that his death was really a suicide staged to look like a murder:

Or how about when Taylor was wrong about Michael Brown?

Goldie Taylor: ‘Mike Brown was shot in right inner palm. Hands up, Don’t Shoot.’ Update: Taylor locks her Twitter account

But, hey — why wait for proof when there’s a narrative to spin.
