More from the BBC:
French interior ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet said the motive was not clear.
“As for the motivation for this man, he is an individual we haven’t yet identified, the judicial investigation is just getting under way.”
This is a real Scooby-Doo mystery, it is. Let’s hope the “judicial investigation” can figure things out.
We reported on the first two attacks on Sunday. Here’s a summary:
1. Dijon, France: Driver targets pedestrians in multiple locations around the city and reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack.
2. Tours, France: Man attacks police officers with a knife and reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar” during the attack.
But don’t worry, France. These incidents are not related:

And don’t you dare call it terrorism, at least, yet:

And in response to the three unrelated attacks in three days for which no motive is known, France has announced 300 additional troops to patrol the county over the holiday season:

Here’s hoping this show of force will put an end to the mysterious attacks and that France can enjoy the rest of its holiday season in peace.
