The Pineapple Express has left the San Francisco Bay area and is on the way to Los Angeles where the NWS is warning of the possibility of heavy rain, strong winds and flash floods:

And because of the dangerous nature of this storm, the NWS sent out an automated cellphone warning … at about 3:00 this morning. And from the reports on Twitter, the sound of the phone going off was terrifying. The storm, not so much:
