Don't panic, but the CDC just issued mandatory 21-day monitoring on all travelers from West Africa

As Twitchy has been reporting over the past few days, libs are attempting to dictate a narrative in which they portray the GOP as creating a panic over fears of Ebola solely to win votes in the November midterm elections.

But with every new maneuver by the Obama administration to fight Ebola, the alleged GOP fear-mongering is looking more and more like prescience. Here’s the latest, via The Hill:

All travelers who arrive in the U.S. from Ebola-stricken countries will be closely watched by public health officials starting Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced Wednesday.

Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said that anyone arriving from the three countries – Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia – will be actively monitored on a daily basis starting Monday.

They will also face new rules about where they can travel within the U.S., and must coordinate with health agencies in other states to ensure they continue to be monitored.

“These new measures I’m announcing today will give additonal levels of safety so that people who develop symptoms of Ebola are isolated quickly,” Frieden told reporters during a press briefing.

We’re still learning more about this announcement, but the first and most obvious question is why it took the CDC so long to implement this incredibly sensible procedure that’s not anything new:

And many are saying this still isn’t good enough:

The cost of all of this is also of concern:

Costs? It’s free, silly … at least to the passengers.
