We didn’t know fog would be an impediment to a laser cannon, but this is good to know.

We’re not sure if a war with is Amazon imminent, but yes, we should use this laser to attack Amazon’s emerging drone fleet if it ever comes to that.

And it’s been pointed out that this is the perfect tool for the eventual war between man and monster:
