A video is going viral out of Fairfax, Virginia showing a class of elementary school kids sitting on the ground for what looks like storytime in 24-degree weather.
Have a watch:
It’s 24 degrees in Fairfax, Virginia today and teachers at @waynewoodes are reading a story to elementary school children outside.
What the heck @fcpsnews?

The video was first posted by the Fairfax County Parents Association:
It's well below freezing in Fairfax County, yet young children are having story time on the cold concrete outside at @waynewoodes. This is the result of poor leadership and confusing guidance to teachers. Get these little ones inside! @FCPSSupt @fcpsnews @fairfaxhealth pic.twitter.com/5nAkv5ucYC

The official account for Fairfax Schools responded, saying this was a “snack & mask break” and they were outside for “less than 7 min.”:
Regarding this video, the students are taking a snack & mask break in front of the school. Weather conditions were monitored & students were outside less than 7 min.
Note that students do go outside for breaks in cold weather, but that time is limited, as was the case here.

Um, do they think that helps their case?
They should be allowed to take off their masks for more than 7 minutes. Indoors.

And we like that they’re socially distanced, too:
This is still miserable. They're clearly not even allowed to sit together. https://t.co/vnRwmyCH9z

It makes total sense!
We really don't want our children to get sick.
The only logical way to prevent that is to have them sit outside in freezing temperatures. https://t.co/QfXKuxgHT4

Thankfully, Glenn Youngkin takes office in a few days and maybe this nonsense will end:
Let’s hope @GlennYoungkin can help put an end to this mistreatment or children at Fairfax Schools! @fcpsnews https://t.co/Eo21XkybRK
