Over the past week or so, Dem politicians have floated the idea of mandatory vaccines for *domestic* air travel. Here’s Rep. Eric Swalwell, for example:
On a flight now to Bay Area and it is one-hundred percent batty that the unvaccinated are allowed to fly. It’s unsafe in the cabin and we are transporting the virus. Requiring the vaccine to fly is the LEAST we can do to stop the spread.

And Sen. Dianne Feinstein supports this as well:
Air travel has essentially returned to pre-pandemic levels but COVID-19, particularly the omicron variant, continues to pose a major public health threat. We’re urging the CDC and FAA to start requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test for all domestic flights. pic.twitter.com/nZIg6P6BbE

But this morning on ABC’s “This Week,” the nation’s top Covid advisor admitted that a vaccine mandate for air travel would not make passengers safer and the only reason to implement it is to force more people to get the jab:
Fauci says vaccine mandates for domestic travel won’t make flights safer, but he supports it anyway:

“Anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome,” he says. But what’s the point if it doesn’t make people any safer?

Fauci also admitted he was “stunned” by people booing former President Trump admitting he got the booster, which shows he’s learned nothing over the past two years:

Fauci also warned that we will see cases climb in the coming weeks:
As the "extraordinarily contagious" omicron variant surges, Dr. Anthony Fauci warns that COVID-19 cases will likely continue to climb.
"Every day it goes up and up. The last weekly average was about 150,000 and it likely will go much higher." https://t.co/CxSdhhlI9G pic.twitter.com/JTTC1ZCExs
