The Washington Post reported on Friday that states and local governments flush with COVID-19 vaccines that were about to expire wanted to send the life-saving doses to Mexico but were prevented in doing so by the Biden White House:
U.S. communities want to share unused vaccines with Mexico, but the White House won’t let them https://t.co/KbWymuSOXN

Now imagine just for a second what the reaction would be from Dems if this whole story was reversed and it was the Trump White House that discarded the doses instead of donating them to Mexico:
California officials planned to share expiring vaccines so Mexicans across the border could get shots. But the White House blocked the plan, and the doses ended up going unused + discarded.

This *should* be a major scandal:
For months, state and local officials have been trying to donate soon-to-expire vaccines with other countries. The Biden Administration has blocked those efforts, leaving the doses to be discarded. w/ @ddiamond: https://t.co/wzBvoDIKEG

We’re really eager to hear *why* the White House couldn’t get this done:
“On the Mexican side, they were begging us for help. It’s infuriating that we had to say no, when it would have been so easy to make a difference.”https://t.co/AxJzI5loVb via @ksieff @ddiamond

Yes it is:
When bureaucratic process gets in the way of good outcomes. This is madness! https://t.co/0sdbaLWSgs
