Breaking news out of New York City where Mayor Bill de Blasio just announced a vaccine mandate for ALL city employees, including the NYPD and FDNY.
Most workers will have until October 29 to get their first shot or face termination:

Corrections officers have until December 1 because of staffing issues at Riker’s Island:
The new NYC vaccine mandate will include NYPD.
Uniformed corrections officers will be subject to a vaccine mandate starting December 1st. The delay is related to “the ongoing staffing situation at Rikers Island”

There is NO testing option:
BREAKING: New York City will require all city workers to be vaccinated against the coronavirus or risk losing their jobs, Mayor Bill de Blasio said.
Regular testing will not be an option for workers who refuse to get vaccinated, he said.
