A New York Knicks fan was caught on camera spitting on Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks during Game 2 of the first round of the NBA playoffs last night at Madison Square Garden:

The Knicks have banned the fan from the Garden “indefinitely” and have “turned the information over to the appropriate authorities”:

Of note, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio ratcheted up the rhetoric against Young at a news conference earlier this week after the Knicks lost to the Hawks in Game 1:

De Blasio’s comments came *after* Knicks fans chanted “F*ck Trae Young” throughout the game which didn’t seem to bother the mayor:
Between chanting "Fuck Trae Young" which is just an irresponsible and dumb thing to do in a place where there are children/young kids, the spitting on Trae Young and the corny ass "Trae is balding" printouts…not the best performance by Knicks fans at home
