Deadspin has an article up calling out the PGA for not moving the Masters tournament from the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia:
Of course the PGA won’t stand against Georgia by moving the Masters https://t.co/PCikCDG9f5 pic.twitter.com/pPOF8y9Svf

From the article:
And then there’s the PGA.
As responsible companies and entities push back on the state of Georgia’s new voting laws — seen by many critics and Democrats as a way to suppress the Black and brown vote — the Professional Golfers’ Association plays on.
It’s by Rob Parker:

And what’s amazing about this stunning piece of journalism is that, of course, the PGA has absolutely zero to do with the Masters:
Brain titan writes entire column about the PGA moving the Masters, seemingly unaware that the PGA doesn't run the Masters. https://t.co/Yv0xI4jvb2

How does he not know this?
The PGA, the PGA Tour, the USGA, the R&A, the PGA European Tour…do not operate or conduct the Masters. The Augusta National Golf Club does. Even if those entities wanted to move the Masters they couldn't. Actually, the PGA Tour doesn't conduct any of the four of golf's majors https://t.co/9pvy79hrgo

And since Augusta owns the event, how exactly would it be moved?
(Of course) the Deadspin is clueless here. The PGA can't move the Masters. It's not the PGA's event. It's run by officials at the Georgia course, which literally can't be moved https://t.co/GXOF1442AJ

Maybe these can be the next Deadspin hot-takes?

The PGA should move the Masters? While we are at it, I think that the NCAA should move the Braves out of Atlanta ?
jk
Who wants to tell him…? https://t.co/R0NggLUNR9

It’s an all-around failure, actually:
So not only did the writer do no research, but his editors let it go, too.
