With less than a week to go in an election that will determine if America goes down a socialist path or not, Sen. Ted Cruz is throwing ice-cold water on the Hunter Biden story, telling Axios’ Jonathan Swan that “I don’t think it moves a single voter”:

Talk about buzzkill:
Ted Cruz, ladies and gentlemen.
(Also, Sen. Cruz really needs to sit up straight. That slouching pose has a lot of troll-under-the-bridge energy.) https://t.co/UAOsV9O4ef

We’ll note that Sen. Cruz is not the only one with this take:
If you already dislike Joe Biden, you can get priapism from the Hunter Biden story. It will get you hardly any new votes. It distracts the GOP from the message they win with: jobs and economy. Keep talking Hunter Biden and lose the election by getting off message.

Maybe this would be different if the media actually covered it?
Anybody who watched Tucker's interview last night could see that Bobulinski is extremely credible. And he has receipts. This is how Politico is handling the story: pic.twitter.com/0Ye9MJgf9B

Other journos aren’t so sure it won’t matter:
The October surprise was "the laptop" and not even the president can figure out what "the laptop" is supposed to be.
Just like Her Emails, it is a generalized waving of the arms and hands toward the appearance impropriety. It may still work.https://t.co/xGxJA9XE4c pic.twitter.com/LRE2xks0Yc
