Alright, this might be the funniest thing we’ve read today. Brian Stelter is having a meltdown because people are trolling him over at 10-year-old tweet auto-generated via a check-in from Foursquare (is that even still a thing?):
Just how sick and poisoned has our information environment become? Here's an example that's made my Twitter mentions unreadable. (1/5)

You see, the name of the bar he was at years ago was called “Epstein’s”:
Look at the replies to this 10 year old tweet about visiting a well-known bar on Manhattan's LES. (The address is even included in the tweet, which anyone can Google!) I used to share my location via Foursquare – can't anymore. https://t.co/yZefmVSmqc

And now people are trolling him over it, big time:
Today, people suddenly started replying to that tweet, falsely claiming I'm part of a Jeffrey Epstein conspiracy. That's not only completely factually incorrect and dangerous, it's nuts. And this insanity happens to all sorts of people, all the time. (3/5)

THE BOTS ARE AFTER HIM:
Crazy memes falsely claiming I rode on Epstein's jet. Bots and anonymous commenters using words I don't even want to repeat. Normal people shrug and say, "that's just social media." No, it's ANTIsocial and sick. (4/5) pic.twitter.com/3IispBPIdL

Maybe CNN could unmask the anonymous accounts trolling you? That would teach them a lesson:
While we report on this daily, and I know other people have it much worse, today's flood of lies reminds me that these platforms are broken beyond belief. Or maybe we're broken. And not much is being done about it. (5/5)

And thank you for finding the real victim, Brian:
Good news: Brian found the real victim in this story. https://t.co/Mi2Ex8iEpD

It looks like all of this started thanks to Twitchy favorite Redsteeze:
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) November 6, 2019
And:
Miller is referring to Stelter’s newsletter that blamed commenters on the right for using the Project Veritas video to “stoke hatred of the media writ large”:
Stelter outdid himself.
He found the real villains of ABC spiking the Epstein story – Commenters on the right. pic.twitter.com/xQdp01f0vL

And bingo:
“How were Weinstein & Epstein able to be an open secret all those years and commit rape right under the nose of the media?” The CNN media genius wondered aloud as he shifted blame to right wing commentators instead of looking into ABC & NBC.
