NYT photographer debunks AOC's dopey Hope Hicks 'glamour shot' narrative

As we told you over the weekend, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (and others!) were quite miffed at the New York Times for running this “glamour shot” of Hope Hicks along with an article on whether or not she will comply with a House subpoena:

Here’s the photo from the NYT’s Tom Brenner that set her off:

Now for the real story. That photo is not a “glamour shot” at all and was just a normal photo of Hicks at work:

Brenner didn’t even know Hicks would be in the room before he took the photo:

And we’ll note that maybe AOC is not the best one to be complaining about using glamour shots to humanize someone in politics. Remember this?
