Special Counsel Robert Mueller just finished giving his public statement on his Russia investigation and it was not the bombshell libs were hoping for.
First up, Mueller defended Attorney General Bill Barr regarding the disagreement over how much of the report to release and when and believes he acted in “good faith”:
Mueller pointedly did not criticize AG Barr over their disagreements about his initial letter. In the end, Barr made the report public, and Mueller thanked him for that.

Mueller says he does not questions Barr’s “good faith” in his decision to wait and release the full report

Oh, and Bob Barr can also breathe a massive sigh of relief. Mueller refused to criticize his handling of the report release and even complimented him on releasing most of it.

Mueller also shot down attempts by House Dems to get him to testify publicly on his investigation:
MUELLER: "The report is my testimony"

Robert Mueller: "Any testimony from this Office would not go beyond our report … We chose those words carefully and the work speaks for itself. And the report is my testimony."

“…the worst-possible scenario for House Democrats alleging a coverup.”
Mueller saying he won’t testify before Congress because his report speaks for itself and there’s nothing more to add is about the worst-possible scenario for House Democrats alleging a coverup.

But it wasn’t all good news for President Trump:
Fox News’ @BretBaier: “I was struck by the time & tenor of [Mueller’s] remarks… this was not as the President says time and time again ‘no collusion, no obstruction.’ It was much more nuanced than that… this was striking. It was different than what AG Barr has been saying.”

Mueller just gave a literal good news/bad news briefing for Trump. In the good news category, he praised Barr and said he didn't want to testify. In the bad news category, he went out of his way to stress Russian election interference — and that he hadn't exonerated Trump

We didn’t have the option to charge Trump with a crime.
If we could have cleared him of a crime we would have done so. We didn’t.

Mueller concluded with a warning that Russia — and other countries — are still trying to interfere with our elections:
“There was multiple systematic efforts to interfere in our election,” Mueller concludes, saying, that “deserves the attention of every American."
