Weird. One of Brian Stelter's favorite reliable sources suspiciously absent from last night's newsletter

Yesterday we asked if CNN’s media reporter Brian Stelter was going to cover the troubling allegations in that Vanity Fair piece on Michale Avenatti that suggested reporters have been hiding his bad behavior from the public while at the same time giving him loads of airtime and ink to spew his BS.

So, did Stelter step up and cover it?

Has Brian Stelter addressed the Avenatti situation yet or is that not on Media Janitor's radar?

The answer is nope. Avenatti didn’t even make Stelter’s newsletter last night, but he did write about celebrity f***ing holograms:

After over a hundred appearances on his network, and calling him a serious presidential candidate, and reports of bullying production staff members, and oh yeah, more indictments, there are exactly zero mentions of Avenatti in the @brianstelter newsletter. On March 31, Stelter quote-tweeted a thread where Avenatti spoke to another reporter after making bail.

On March 25, Stelter defended not covering Avenatti because he was busy doing an Apple event.

The last time Stelter tweeted directly about Avenatti was November 15, 2018.
