CNN’s Brian Stelter thinks all media outlets should report on the migrant caravan headed to the U.S. “with a map like this, front and center”:
If your news coverage of the caravan doesn't include a map like this, front and center, you're doing it wrong… pic.twitter.com/s026JJYoov

You see, because the map shows how far away the migrant caravan is from the border and it’s so far away that it shouldn’t be considered an issue for the midterm elections (keep in mind, CNN’s Bill Weir contradicts his first sentence with his second sentence):
When Americans go to the polls in 2 weeks, the caravan will still be south of Mexico City.
From there it is an 8 day walk to Brownsville, TX but most will take the longer but “safer” route to Tijuana which is another 25 days away. https://t.co/gwx0regIRy— Bill Weir (@BillWeirCNN) October 23, 2018
“It’ outrageous” to make an issue of it now as they’re not “read to start storming walls”:
Right? Coverage makes it seem like they are standing at the border ready to start storming walls. It's outrageous. https://t.co/umakOPXVug

Or, and we’re just spitballing here, we would cover this the same way we’ve covered these caravans in the past because Congress hasn’t done anything to stop them?

Brilliant. Let’s wait until they’re on our doorstep before we worry about it. If you follow this buffoon’s advice, you’re doing it wrong. https://t.co/xCtnejs2F5

Libs, however, are mad at the CNN media reporter because they think any coverage of the caravan is just playing into Trump’s hands:
If your news coverage is saturated with images like this, then you're letting Trump's lies set the agenda & doing it wrong https://t.co/jbxhisquXC

With respect Brian I think running this “migrant caravan” graphic at all is part of doing it wrong https://t.co/mPh2kxxhGq

Dude, WTF?! NO!!!
You use maps like this for effing military conflicts, not the travel plans of desperate human beings.
This plays ENTIRELY into Trump’s narrative. As does giving the story any more oxygen than it needs in the first place. https://t.co/ZhM8tThpAs

Here’s a crazy idea. Maybe when Trump makes a totally fabricated claim, media outlets can just ignore it except to briefly note that Fox News is repeating a piece of false propaganda that originated in the White House? https://t.co/NsKCWPnCuV
