Rodolfo Rodriguez, a 91-year-old legal permanent resident visiting his family in Los Angeles was savagely beaten by a woman with a brick and told “Go back to Mexico!”:

An eyewitness caught the beating on camera, which included a second attack by a group of men. From HuffPost:

Borjas, who caught the incident on camera and called 911, said she tried to intervene but the woman threatened to attack her too.

Rodriguez, who was born in Mexico and is a permanent resident of the United States, told reporters that the woman enlisted a group of men to join the attack. She allegedly told them Rodriguez was trying to snatch her daughter from her.

“But that’s not true,” Rodriguez told CNN in Spanish this week. “In the years I have been alive, I have never offended anyone.”

The men, whose relationship to the woman is unknown, kicked Rodriguez while he lay “crumpled on the ground and stomped on his head,” Borjas told the Post. The group fled before police arrived.

Suspect Laquisha Jones, female Black 30 years-old, and resident of Los Angeles, was booked for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
