According to the report, the woman left her two kids in the car when she ran into a Dallas-era Shell station. She then jumped into the passenger seat when the carjacker jumped into the driver’s seat. She ordered him to stop, but nevertheless he persisted. So she grabbed her gun out of the the glove box and shot him.

According to NBC, mom and kids were not injured in the subsequent crash. The carjacker is recovering and was “charged with two counts of unlawful restraint and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.”
