This photo of rosaries collected from immigrants caught crossing the southern border and then thrown in the trash from the trash was taken by Tom Kiefer who worked as a janitor for CBP from 2001 until he left the agency in 2014. According to the linked-to New Yorker profile, he started collecting items from the trash in 2007.
So not a single one of these personal effects was collected during the Trump administration. Zero. But sure, let’s have it go viral TODAY:
