The NFL has changed its national anthem policy and it’s a compromise of sorts. Players can stay in the locker room if they want to during the national anthem, but if they’re on the field they “shall stand and show respect respect for the flag and Anthem.” If not, the league “will impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.”
