Game over for Senate Democrats attempting to block SCOTUS nominee Neil Gorsuch? Pretty much…
Here’s Sen. Chuck Schumer in 2013 saying at a news conference on the elimination of the filibuster for judicial nominees, “we much prefer the risk of up-or-down votes in majority rule than the risk of continued total obstruction. That’s the bottom line, no matter who’s in power.”
Well, Chuck’s “no matter who’s in power” didn’t last long. Video via America Rising:
And even better, Senator Harry Reid added “Let ’em do it” when asked what if Republicans use a simple majority on future SCOTUS nominees:
Whoa. In 2013, Reid asked if he was worried GOP could change filibuster on #SCOTUS. His response: "Let 'em do it" https://t.co/OG3sL0QM8Z pic.twitter.com/st8g1T698I
