An EgyptAir Airbus A320 flying from Paris to Cairo (Flight MS804) crashed in the Mediterranean early Thursday morning just as it had entered Egyptian air space:

Of the 66 people on board the aircraft, 3 were reportedly air marshals:

Although it’s still early and the cause of the crash is not known at this time, the speculations is that this was a terrorist attack:

Ships in the area are currently en route to the suspected crash site:

EgyptAir is angry at media outlets for speculating on the case of the crash and is asking that they “abide by the official press releases issued by EGYPTAIR media center”:

This is the 2nd major airline incident in Egypt since October when a suspected bomb exploded on Russian Metrojet, killing 224:
