Multi-billionaire Bill Gates was on with Jake Tapper this morning where he said life won’t return to normal before 2022 and it’s “appropriate” for bars and restaurants to be closed for the next “four to six months”:
.@BillGates on Covid: "Even through 2022” we should be prepared for life to not return to “normal”

Holy s*it what a take:
So at what point are the rest of us going to tire of billionaires – whose lives are completely unaffected by lockdowns, school closures, travel restrictions, and all the rest – telling us good little proles that we just have to wait a few more months? https://t.co/He9c6iwhGe

This is as bad a take “as it gets” even:
Even if you agree with the message – I don't — the optics of the world's richest (or second or third richest, whatever) man telling other people to shut down their businesses for half a year are about as bad as it gets. https://t.co/T5Rd4yWPGn

And here’s Ted Cruz challenging both of them, as well as every other person calling for these sorts of lockdowns, to give up *their* paychecks and then tell us that’s OK:
Leftists: a millionaire & a billionaire discuss how they think its “appropriate” to destroy & bankrupt small businesses across America.
Tell you what…halt ALL salaries at CNN & Microsoft, stop paying Dem politicians & then let’s see if they think TWO MORE YEARS shutdown is OK. https://t.co/OwKLXLYZxT

None of them will, however.
