Apparently, Hell hath no fury like a Filipkowski scorned. Ron Filipkowski took to Twitter Saturday morning to try to capitalize on the buzz over Nick Fuentes to feed his personal grudge with Ron DeSantis. Fuentes showed up at Mar-a-Lago with Kanye West for dinner, and Trump’s camp has been dealing with the ensuing fallout.
Ron Filipkowski is a former Republican, appointed by Ron DeSantis to Florida’s 12th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, who resigned in support of Rebekah Jones. As you may recall, Jones was the self-proclaimed whistleblower who became a darling of the Left after falsely claiming DeSantis was hiding COVID deaths.
Filipkowski purports to ‘track and report on right wing extremism’, which he apparently accomplishes through misinformation.
Nick Fuentes says the details in the Axios story of his meeting with Trump are accurate. Says he told Trump that he was a hero to him, but thinks he has lost his way and that the person who he most agrees with most now saying all right ‘America First’ things is Ron Desantis. pic.twitter.com/wUAplEOn0u

The video shared by Filipkowski is clearly edited. Our advice: Assume a clipped video is misleading, no matter who it came from, until you’ve verified the full context yourself.
So what is Ron’s endgame here? Nick Fuentes has a well-documented history of antisemitism. He blames a large portion of society’s ills on the Jews. This is why joining Kanye at Mar-a-Lago created such a stir. Filipkowski would like nothing more than to tie Fuentes and his ilk to DeSantis.
We watched the video in the larger context so you don’t have to. The point of the more comprehensive segment was Fuentes explaining to his fans that he would be leaving his podcast because he wanted to do more than just talk about politics. He will be getting directly involved. He was coy about specifics because he said announcements had not yet been made.

He made it clear that neither Trump nor DeSantis were his choice going forward. He only mentioned DeSantis in that context and later reiterated that he ‘loves Trump’ and he ‘loves Ye’ (Kanye West). This isn’t hard to figure out, unless you’re extremely dense or looking to smear Ron DeSantis.
The ruse worked on those who were eager to be duped.
Elon Musk likes to pretend he's a moderate, when, in reality, he and a notorious White Supremacist Holocaust-Denying Christian Nationalist are both swooning over the same current darling of American fascists, Ron DeSantis.

The tried-and-true Democrat guilt-by-association game is in full swing. It’s a bogus tactic, and this time it’s based on a complete fabrication of support.
We assume Mrs. Bowers is equally upset with Joe Biden because white supremacist, Richard Spencer, voted for him in 2020.
lol Fuentes loving Trump but saying he may be more for DeSantis now because Trump's too low energy and DeSantis is bringing it for fascism. So Trump has to step it up basically. https://t.co/t4LkY3ZwM9

Unfortunately, many on the Left fell for Filipkowski’s falsehood.
So the anti-semite Trump befriended, has left him for Ron DeSantis.
At this point, I don't know who that says the most about. 😒 https://t.co/qrQcE3wN3b

Former Democrat Party chair. You think he’d be better at recognizing misinformation. They produce enough of it.

‘Longtime SNL writer.’ That’s actually funnier than the past decade of SNL. LOL.
#Desantis is very dangerous https://t.co/oht4SA7NxX

Randi Weingarten’s most valuable contribution to society is daily proving that she has no business being involved in your kids’ education.
Okay, that’s enough from the gaggle of the gullible.
Ron Filipkowski got called out hard for this one.
Wow @RonFilipkowski just out here doing internet disinformation
Your Krassenstein forefathers would be proud
— Matt Whitlock (@mattdizwhitlock) November 26, 2022
The tweet is still up. Maybe Ron hasn’t seen the debunking yet?
Oh. Nope. He doubled down.
I tell you what, if you think I misrepresented what he was saying, go ahead and listen to his 2-hour show and cut your own. He criticized Trump, praised Desantis’s messaging and policies as better, and was talking about him at the end, not Kanye. You believe whatever you want.
— Ron Filipkowski 🇺🇦 (@RonFilipkowski) November 26, 2022
It’s funny that Ron sort of implicitly admits to making the video edit himself.
It is clear that Filipkowski is the one believing whatever he wants in this case. Later in the same video, Fuentes receives a ‘super chat’ message from a user saying ‘Ye and Trump are running for 2024 but it’s Fuentes in the headlines’.
Fuentes responds: ‘We gotta get behind the leader, ok? Just like we did for Trump.’
Many commenters whose messages Fuentes posted on air refer to Ye running in 2024, the chat is full of Ye ’24, and Fuentes even shuts down a comment at one point that refers to a ‘degenerate rapper’ saying ‘I should have read that first’.
There’s no way to see this as support for Ron DeSantis unless your IQ is lower than room temperature or you’re willfully ignoring the facts.
How are you any better than all the things you’ve built a Resistance brand crusading against? You know you’re in the wrong here – but you keep it up for the RTs.
— Matt Whitlock (@mattdizwhitlock) November 26, 2022
Yep, the grifter class will keep a known lie in circulation for the likes and retweets.
Mediaite has the entire clip and he very clearly says the country doesn’t need Trump or DeSantis and he’s working on something he’s going to announce in opposition to both of them. Btw you and Tommy Christopher are giving this clown more “platforming” than anyone on the right
— Boomieleaks (@Boomieleaks) November 26, 2022
Nailed it. Remember when the left gave Richard Spencer a national platform to smear Trump? We do.
— That Chick From Seattle (@burnedinseattle) November 26, 2022
LOL! Perfect.
Wow, so either you were stupid enough to not see that obvious edit @ 2:44 or you know your intended audience is too stupid to notice it.
Either way, quite telling.
— Cable Beard (@llcthecableguy) November 26, 2022
Ron knows what he did.
Filipkowski seems confident in Fuentes’s corroboration of the Axios story, so we assume he’ll accept Fuentes calling him a liar on Telegram as solid evidence too.
Why are you lying @RonFilipkowski? https://t.co/Vk4VyTeH8L
— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) November 26, 2022
Presumably because he knows it works on the naïve.
I appreciate that Twitter has added important context to @RonFilipkowski’s disinformation. In fact, having watched the original clip, Fuentes’s concluding remarks come several minutes after his remarks on Trump v. DeSantis and he is clearly not referencing DeSantis. https://t.co/YW1A0rNu9R
— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) November 26, 2022
This is not going well for you, Ron. LOL.

This one’s not hard to figure out.
This doctored video is still up despite being definitively debunked and birdwatched. https://t.co/b4MgyW7F9f

It’s not looking like Ron Filipkowski will take the tweet down. He’s going to ride this one out, hoping the lie sticks.
