We know we’ve made it quite clear we think Hollywood lefties aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, but this one seems too hard to believe. Chelsea Handler claims she didn’t know the Sun and the Moon were different until she was 40 years old.

Look, Chelsea Handler is not above beclowning herself to try to get attention, and that may be exactly what this is.

If not … hoo boy … that’s a level of dumb that borders on impressive.

She revealed the embarrassing fact on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

According to Handler:

‘This is true. I didn’t know until I was 40 years old that the sun and the moon were not the same thing. …

… Honestly, I just assumed when the sun went down, it popped back up as the moon.’

She went on to explain that she had this ‘revelation’ when her sister pointed out that the Sun and the Moon were both visible in the sky while they were on safari in Africa.

We suppose we’ll just have to take her at her word.
