According to Democrats and many in the media, Jimmy Kimmel's show is no longer on the air because Donald Trump is an authoritarian dictator.
In reality, Kimmel lied about the Charlie Kirk shooting by trying to tie it to Trump supporters which angered some affiliates that carry the show. Kimmel reportedly didn't plan to apologize and perhaps was even going to double down, so ABC pulled the plug:

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger and co-chair Dana Walden made the decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel’s show after he planned to double down and go on camera to defend his lie that MAGA voters killed Charlie Kirk rather than "kowtow” to the outrage, Hollywood Reporter reports. They yanked him because they “thought that would fan the flames” as Nexstar and Sinclair affiliates dropped him.
“The advertiser calls began to roll in and then the big affiliate conglomerates, Nexstar and Sinclair, threatened to preempt the show.” This is market reaction, and not tied to FCC chair Brendan Carr’s actions.
Kimmel even planned to double down and not apologize after “Disney employees saw their emails doxxed..some even received death threats.” When “66 of the roughly 200 affiliate stations had said they would” drop him, that’s when Iger and Walden pulled the plug.
ABC pulled the Kimmel show and that process started with massive blowback from affiliates of various broadcast companies carrying the show all around the country. Now the Dem narrative (with media assistance of course) is that Trump's a dictator who had Kimmel pulled off the air, and if you've already forgotten that Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a leftist who'd been indoctrinated by rhetoric pushed by Democrats, that's their entire goal.

Naturally Hayes just nodded along like a leftist bobblehead while the governor who had a snitch line for citizens to report their neighbors said TRUMP is doing "North Korea-style stuff." That's some Alpha Centauri-size projection right there.
Think about just how stupid Walz's statement is. How many late-night shows are there in North Korea with hosts who basically call the leader the most evil person in the world and how long would those shows stay on the air?

"There's no guarantee to free speech" if it's misinformation or hate speech. And who wants to decide what's misinformation and hate speech? Lefties like Walz. We've seen what Walz's definition of "misinformation" is, and that's truthful information that harms the Left's preferred narratives.
