We're slowly learning more about the gunman who assassinated Charlie Kirk in Utah yesterday (there's one more reported detail that I'll get to in a minute):

Meanwhile, many Democrats (with help from the media of course) have been trying to blame the killing of a prominent conservative on... Republican rhetoric, including Trump.

The Left has proven time and time again that they don't want honest and open debate. They just want to silence anybody with other opinions in any way possible.
What's telling is what the Left does NOT seem to think is ominous:

The Slate story opens this way, and I put part of it in bold:
Charlie Kirk, one of the most influential media figures on the right, was shot dead at an event in Utah on Wednesday afternoon, sending a shockwave through American politics. Graphic videos of the shooting, which happened in front of hundreds of people, began circulating soon after.
The 31-year-old was the founder of Turning Point USA, an organization that pushed the conservative youth movement toward embracing MAGA, culture war issues, and views that were once on the fringe of conservative politics. Through his podcast, media appearances, and numerous speaking tours, he has spread misinformation about the 2020 election and the pandemic; urged women to abandon their careers and stay at home with children; and fanned fears that LGBTQ+ rights would endanger children and erode society. At the time of the shooting, according to recordings from the event, he was discussing the false right-wing belief that many mass shooters are transgender.

Well would you look at that! But I'll wait until we learn more about the killer and other details about the shooting before making further comments, unlike Dems and other lefties who have the scripts written before these horrible events even take place.
