The Biden-Harris administration left the White House on January 20th, but the awful effects are still lingering.
The continuing tactic from the Democrats is to insist that people in the country illegally are "law-abiding immigrants" and are being held in horrible conditions (well then you'd think the Left would support those people being sent away from this awful place).
Democrat Dan Goldman used the laughable "law abiding illegals" type language yesterday:
Masked ICE agents are snatching law-abiding immigrants and detaining them for days in highly questionable conditions.

Today, ICE illegally prevented me from conducting my constitutional oversight responsibility and blocked me from observing the detention conditions.
If they're… pic.twitter.com/oAL1rktRR8
My personal favorites are the Dems who basically come across like Cartman from South Park: "You have to RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!"
Congressional oversight is not optional, it's our authority and responsibility as members of Congress. We stood outside of the Broadview detention center for over an hour and were unlawfully denied entry. If this is how they treat us, how are they treating the individuals being… pic.twitter.com/YAzAF5LF29

So sorry some of these Dems are being denied their opportunity to get some Padilla-style attention via unhinged stunts at ICE detention centers.
Meanwhile, the reality of what's happening is perhaps best summed up by the kinds of people who the Biden administration not only let come into the country, but tried to make sure will remain here.
Grab your margarita blender, Sen. Van Hollen, because here's another chance to demonstrate the "priorities" of the Democrats:
EXCLUSIVE: We were with ICE & HSI Los Angeles as they arrested a Salvadoran alien w/ an active deportation order who has convictions for murder & attempted murder in LA County, but ICE may not be able to deport him due to a protection he got in the final days of the Biden admin.… pic.twitter.com/dpVJaINUBP

So now convicted murderers who are in the country illegally get to stay (at least for now) because of Biden, Harris and Mayorkas? That's just one small part of the horrendous and tragic legacy left by the previous administration.
More from Fox News' Bill Melugin:
ICE says ALEXANDER ALFREDO PALACIOS GUEVARA is a Surenos gang member who has had an active deportation order since February 2024. He is a convicted murderer, and also has two prior convictions for attempted murder, all in Los Angeles County.
During his ICE arrest, he repeatedly told me, on camera, that he shouldn't be deported because he has "CAT".
It turns out, his claim was true. ICE wasn't aware during his arrest, but in the last days of the Biden admin, in December 2024, Guevara had been granted what's known as "DCAT", or Deferred Removal under the Convention Against Torture, meaning he can't be deported to his home country because he fears he will be tortured there.
The decision was made by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), under the Biden Department of Justice, on 12/18/2024.
ICE will keep Guevara in custody & seek to deport him to a third party country, but they are waiting for SCOTUS to rule on their ability to do so, after a federal judge in Boston blocked third party removals earlier this year.
ICE, under the Trump admin, is outraged that a decision under the Biden admin is currently stopping them from deporting a convicted murderer & alleged gang member who has a final deportation order & received his due process.
Biden: The gift that keeps on giving (to criminal illegals).
This is who the democrats are protecting. A murderer. https://t.co/rsL97it5HR

And they keep doubling and tripling down.
It’s time to prosecute Mayorkas and people in the corrupt Biden administration.

HEADS NEED TO ROLL.
Prosecute them and take away their pensions. https://t.co/IQpru6ph5X
People really need to be held accountable for what was allowed to occur, and more than just by Democrats losing elections. However, I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.
