Scott Bessent Reveals What the Chinese Delegation Told Him About Biden (Anybody Surprised?)

The markets are up quite a bit so far today after the news about the Trump White House reaching an agreement with China about tariffs:

The United States and China said Monday they reached an agreement to temporarily reduce the punishing tariffs they have imposed on each other while they try to defuse the trade war threatening the world’s two largest economies.

In a joint statement, the countries said they would suspend their respective tariffs for 90 days and continue negotiations they started this weekend. Under the agreement, the United States would reduce the tariff on Chinese imports to 30 percent from its current 145 percent, while China would lower its import duty on American goods to 10 percent from 125 percent.

“We concluded that we have a shared interest,” said Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at a news conference in Geneva where U.S. and Chinese officials met over the weekend. “The consensus from both delegations is that neither side wanted a decoupling,” he said.

After the temporary deal was announced, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the Chinese delegation told him something about Biden that is the most believable thing ever:

Does this come as a shock to anybody?

"The Chinese delegation basically told us that once  President Biden came into office, they just ignored their obligations."

"We had an excellent trade agreement with China and the Biden administration chose not to enforce it."

So, just like immigration laws and the border, the Biden White House chose not to enforce it? What a surprise.

Like I always say, when Biden took office he said the days of "America first" policies were over and that was one of the very few times he was being completely honest.

"All of the above" is also a big possibility.

Perhaps at some point we'll know exactly who was making the calls at the White House during the Biden years. The only thing I know for sure is those people were hellbent to destroy the country.
