'Victim Blaming' Alert! The New Republic Knows Who 'Set Tesla on Fire' (Just Guess)

Meme screenshot

Years ago Elon Musk started Tesla as a way to help lower emissions while Democrats applauded him for joining the push to address the climate change they said was an existential threat to humanity.

Fast forward a few years and we have a Democrat senator trading in his Tesla for a gas-powered SUV while leftist activists are setting the vehicles on fire.

The attacks on Tesla dealerships, the EVs and some of those who drive them is nothing short of domestic terrorism, but it's still continuing:

Somebody tell that guy threatening the woman that the "Na*i" call is coming from inside his own house.

But the Justice Department can call off the investigations, because The New Republic has a hot take that has already solved the caper about who's to blame for what's happening with Tesla:

These people couldn't be more predictable.

This is victim blaming writ large:

It makes sense that people are taking their anger out on Tesla. With Trump’s blessing, Musk is sending legions of asocial goons out to take a sledgehammer to basic government functions. Aside from the threats he poses to things Medicaid, Social Security, and lots of other things that keep people alive, Musk is also an unnerving guy to have to pay attention to: an unseemly, anti-charismatic, profoundly unfunny pest with a thin skin and a penchant for substances that exacerbate his most annoying qualities. As a “special government employee” he is also broadly unaccountable. Whereas most of us will never get the chance to yell at Musk face-to-face, we may well see a Tesla driving down the highway or parked on the street. Protests against Tesla are of a piece with boycotts against companies like Amazon and Target for rolling back diversity, equity and inclusion measures, along with heated Tea Party-style protests at town halls against Republicans (for furthering Trump’s agenda) and Democrats (for not doing more to stop it).

The story claims that the people who have organized the anti-Tesla protests have denounced the vandalism and arson, but personally I have only seen people either cheering it on or approving in a "wink wink" kind of way.

It's what they do.

These are the same people who think "social justice" can be achieved by burning down grocery stores and pharmacies.

There have been at least two assassination attempts on Trump, he was shot once, and now Teslas are being torched, dealerships shot at and vandalized while drivers of the EVs are being intimidated, and the Left wants everybody to think the conservative side is the public threat.
