ABC News' Sob Story About 'Migrant' Misery at Gitmo Is a Case Study in Media Hackery

Journalism meme

We've arrived to a time when the border is being secured and federal immigration laws are being enforced, which means it's time once again for the media to help the Dems push the "cruel and unusual" narrative.

This time it's all about the Trump DHS along with the Defense Department holding some illegals at Guantanamo Bay at least until they can be deported elsewhere. People are finding out the hard way that Biden isn't in the White House anymore:

Since then some of them indeed have found their way to Gitmo, with a little help from U.S. officials.

ABC News is now all over it when it comes to the sympathy pieces about "migrants":

The "journalism" is strong in this one.

I'll start here: The U.S. government says two of the people quoted in the article were sent to Gitmo to be deported because they're Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. ABC was clearly satisfied with the denials of the two men:

"We're not from Tren de Aragua or anything, we're not criminals, we're immigrants," Bastidas Paz said. He said that officials never told him he was being sent to Guantanamo and then to Venezuela.

ABC: Good enough for us!

And I'm about over the media trying to help these people explain why they're not criminals after they illegally entered the U.S.

I'll do this next part "shot & chaser" style...

Shot: The men in the story said the place where they were kept had "a disgusting smell."

The chaser:

"From the moment we were there, we tried to kick the doors, we went on countless strikes," Jose said. "We clogged the toilets and protested, we covered the cameras because the confinement is unbearable."

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt the disgusting smell part, especially if they clogged the toilets.

ABC took what they said at face value.

I can't wait for ABC's sob story about how these people are being treated:

It's going to take a long time to clean up the disaster the Biden administration intentionally allowed to happen, but don't expect any positive reports about the job Team Trump is doing from the legacy media. Quite the opposite if anything.
