The Kamala Harris campaign strategy has become clear: Don't let the public see or hear what she really stands for and run out the clock until Election Day. They know if voters are reminded of who Kamala Harris really is the Dems will lose in a landslide, so their job is to fool as many low info voters as possible.
The Harris campaign's latest goal is "don't make news":

As a result, Harris has been doing things like answering questions about how high prices at the grocery store are hitting the middle class hard by harkening back to her childhood for rambling stories with the goal being that eventually nobody even remembers what the original question was.
Another Harris campaign attempt to increase their candidate's appeal in swing states is to have her pretend to be in favor of lower taxes, border security, and basically convince people she's had nothing to do with any of the negative things that have happened in the last four years. Oh, and they're also trying to keep her Senate record under wraps.
Additionally, the Harris campaign is trying to get "regular" Americans to favor their candidate by running ads saying Trump's only in it to help big corporations. Then they brag about stuff like this:

Is all that moving the approval/favorability needle? Well, yes, except not in a direction the Harris campaign wants to see, according to Gallup:

Donald Trump
Favorable: 46% (+5)
Unfavorable: 53% (-2)

The Harris-Walz campaign and what they claim to stand for has been invented from whole cloth, and average people can see through the fakery, mostly because they make it so incredibly obvious.

If Harris' likeability numbers are dropping as more and more people see the phony version, just imagine the plunge that would take place if her campaign allowed the real Kamala to be seen and heard.
The debate the Dems bragged about might not have actually gone the way they think.

Tell me again who won the debate. Post debate, Trump has a net 7 point GAIN in his favorability rating while Harris has a net 8 point DECLINE in hers. https://t.co/ThveLacaq0

Harris' recent interview with a local Philadelphia TV station showed why her campaign had been making her stick to scripted speeches. The more she's compelled to do interviews or even a press conference I'd expect those numbers to keep dropping -- unburdened by what has been.
