On Sunday there was yet another attempt to assassinate Donald Trump, but fortunately that was thwarted before the gunman could get a shot off.
Just like after the attempt a couple of months ago that hit Trump in the ear, killed a rally-goer and injured others, some Democrats are putting out statements with some variation of "political violence has no place in America":
The Joe Biden account and whatever 20-something White House press office staffers run it had this to say:
I have been briefed by my team regarding what federal law enforcement is investigating as a possible assassination attempt of former President Trump today.
— President Biden (@POTUS) September 16, 2024
A suspect is in custody, and I commend the work of the Secret Service and their law enforcement partners for their…
Vice President Kamala Harris' account posted this brief statement:
I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe. Violence has no place in America.
— Vice President Kamala Harris (@VP) September 15, 2024
Trying to reconcile those statements with what these same people have spent the last few years saying is quite a chore.

Earlier I noticed the below post from @JoeBiden making the rounds again. This was posted one day after the Biden/Trump debate, and you know how that went for Joe. As a result, this contains an extra helping of Team Biden rage:
Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation.
— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) June 28, 2024
He's a threat to our freedom. He's a threat to our democracy. He's literally a threat to everything America stands for.
With these repeated attempts to paint Trump as "worse than Hitler and Stalin combined" what do they think would eventually happen?
There have been two assassination attempts on Trump since @JoeBiden posted this. https://t.co/0cUP8PPRN0

Hopefully we've seen the last of the attempts but if the Left keeps up with that type of rhetoric their intent will be clearer than ever.
Total mystery as to how we’ve now seen two assassination attempts targeting Trump.

Total mystery. https://t.co/xCN1TyZkKd
Wow, I can’t understand why two separate lunatics would want to assassin*te Trump.

It remains a total mystery. https://t.co/1T2T9Bz7ig
Earlier I was listening to Glenn Beck and he was remembering when the Left their minds over Sarah Palin's "targeted district" map shortly before Gabby Giffords was shot -- something that had nothing to do with that shooting -- and those are the same people talking this way about Trump and think it's just fine.
This is the type of rhetoric these lunatics see and then think they need to take out Trump. Disgusting. https://t.co/w6XsdJANW8

The Democrats' media counterparts have certainly done their part as well.
The media incited this. Deliberately. pic.twitter.com/oZMn8ZcZxe

The man who was arrested for the assassination plot yesterday had social media posts that sound like they could have been posted to Biden's social media accounts or any other Democrat for that matter.
We often don’t know what kind of rhetoric drives would-be killers. Here, we do. The alleged shooter directly echoing the corporate media that Trump is such a threat to democracy. “Democracy is in the ballot,” he says, and we cannot afford” to allow Trump to be elected. pic.twitter.com/V0HgbFYDBM

Instead of displaying a modicum of self-awareness, the Dems/media just blame Trump for the assassination attempts on Trump:
NBC's Lester Holt: "Today's apparent assassination attempt comes amid increasingly fierce rhetoric on the campaign trail. Mr. Trump, his running mate JD Vance continue to make baseless claims about Haitian immigrants" in Springfield, Ohio, resulting in bomb threats. pic.twitter.com/apw9WQ1liR

Unreal, but not unsurprising.
And the Biden and Harris accounts will likely be back with the same rhetoric before the end of the day.
