Photo ID Requirements Are Racist, Oppressive and Wrong... Unless It's for Entry to a Kamala Harris Rally

Presumptive Democrat nominee Kamala Harris has been on record several times explaining why photo ID requirements are grossly unfair and even racist

In her first interview on the topic since becoming vice president, Kamala Harris pushed back against Republican-backed laws that she said will restrict access to voting, particularly among those in rural or lower-income communities.

"I don't think that we should underestimate what that could mean," Harris, 56, told Soledad O'Brien in an excerpt from "State of Our Union: Vice President Kamala Harris," a news special set to air Friday on BET.

Speaking specifically about measures requiring IDs in order to vote, Harris continued: "Because in some peoples' minds, that means, well, you're going to have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove you are who you are. Well, there are a whole lot of people —especially people who live in rural communities — that there's no Kinkos, there's no Office Max, near them."

[...]

Her recent comments echoed statements made in 2020, when Harris (then the Democratic nominee for vice president) penned an op-ed in which she wrote that Republicans are "doing everything in their power to suppress and attack the voting rights of people of color."

How ID requirements are racist when it comes to voting but not, say, for driving a car, is anybody's guess.

Also ID requirements are perfectly acceptable for some other things as well:

Did you catch that? Where's my fainting couch!?

The rally will be held Friday evening at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale and is invitation only.

The Arizona Democratic Party started sending out non-transferrable invitations by email on Thursday afternoon. Only those who RSVP'd to the event and bring ID matching the invitation will be allowed in the arena because of security concerns, the email said.

Attendees are being asked to arrive no later than 3:30 p.m., although the official start time of the rally has not been announced.

It is not clear how people got on the invite list or what the capacity is for the event. Registration is now closed.

ID required? I don't know about you, but I am triggered, traumatized and offended by this egregious rights violation!

Maybe a reporter could ask Harris why her campaign is doing such oppressive and racist things such as requiring photo ID to attend her rallies. Wait, Harris won't even take any questions so never mind.
