In September of last year I had a VIP reminder about how the media literally gets paid to push the Left's climate change propaganda. "Philanthropic organizations" (translation: activist groups funded by rich globalist types) threw enough money at the media to allow outlets such as the Associated Press to hire many more people to help push the fearmongering:
The Associated Press said Tuesday that it is assigning more than two dozen journalists across the world to cover climate issues, in the news organization’s largest single expansion paid for through philanthropic grants.
The announcement illustrates how philanthropy has swiftly become an important new funding source for journalism — at the AP and elsewhere — at a time when the industry’s financial outlook has been otherwise bleak.
The AP’s new team, with journalists based in Africa, Brazil, India and the United States, will focus on climate change’s impact on agriculture, migration, urban planning, the economy, culture and other areas. Data, text and visual journalists are included, along with the capacity to collaborate with other newsrooms, said Julie Pace, senior vice president and executive editor.
The AP calls what they do "philanthropy funded news." Talk about an oxymoron. Everybody knows it's activist funded propaganda.
It wasn't always like this. Before the Left figured out a way to politicize the weather for profit (and of course as a way to try and control your lifestyle), things were more normal:
It's always hot in the summer, but back in the day they didn't have the HEAT DOME OF DEATH graphics or bright red flames to con the dumb people into thinking it was because of global warming. pic.twitter.com/g1UV1DSuiM

Instead we now get this kind of thing, especially on the first day of summer:
Human-caused climate change dialed up the thermostat and turbocharged the odds of this month's killer heat that's been baking the southwestern United States, Mexico and Central America, a new flash study found. https://t.co/AYup9E8aCU

Nobody loves summer like the fear-mongering media helping the Left push their climate shams:
Human-caused climate change dialed up the thermostat and turbocharged the odds of this month's killer heat that's been baking the southwestern United States, Mexico and Central America, a new flash study found.
Sizzling daytime temperatures that triggered cases of heat stroke in parts of the United States were 35 times more likely and 2.5 degrees hotter due to the warming from the burning of coal, oil and natural gas, World Weather Attribution, a collection of scientists that run rapid and non-peer reviewed climate attribution studies, calculated Thursday.
Translation: We're all gonna die!
You won't be surprised to find out that there was an "immediate meteorological cause":
The immediate meteorological cause was a high pressure system parked over central Mexico that blocked cooling storms and clouds, then moved to the U.S. Southwest and is now bringing the heat to the U.S. East, Winkley said. Tropical Storm Alberto formed Wednesday and headed to northern Mexico and southern Texas with some rains, which may cause flooding.
The rest of the story is about the non-immediate meteorological cause, which is your SUV and gas stove, but definitely not John Kerry, Al Gore or Leo DiCaprio's private jets.
I conducted a study and found that your flash study is full of crap. It’s like two kids in a sandbox arguing over whose imaginary friend is more real.

It's legitimately embarrassing and if these media outlets were capable of shame they'd blush. Instead we'll hear this kind of alarmism all summer, until winter, when the brutal cold in many areas will be cited as evidence of -- you guessed it -- climate change from burning coal, oil and natural gas.
Predictably, the AP is getting in on the act:
Climate change made killer heat wave in Mexico, Southwest US even warmer and 35 times more likely https://t.co/Wmg8aIBaWO

Also the AP getting paid to push this stuff also makes reports like this at least 35 times more likely.
