Fox News' Bill Melugin noted that the border area Biden is expected to visit isn't a current hot spot for illegal crossings, which isn't surprising:

For three years Biden and the Democrats insisted the border was secure, and now they're trying to blame Republicans for the border not being secure, so I can't predict what optic they're going for on Thursday.

Biden's approval on the border is dismal and the fact that Trump's got to shame him into a visit at the same time is pitiful.

President Joe Biden will travel Thursday to Brownsville, Texas, to meet with U.S. Border Patrol agents, law enforcement, and local leaders, a White House official confirmed Monday morning.
The visit will coincide with one scheduled the same day by former President Donald Trump — the presumptive GOP presidential nominee — whose plans to travel to Eagle Pass, Texas, were made public last week.
We can all now brace for a gaslighting effort like no other to coincide with Biden's visit to the border.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection account appears to have been taken over by DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to convince everybody they're not seeing what's been right before their eyes since Biden took office:
