Attorney General Merrick Garland is testifying before the House Judiciary Committee today, and, as expected, there's plenty of denying and deflecting going on.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler is among the members asking Garland questions, and it gets a little awkward because the New York Democrat wears his pants so high that he has to unzip his fly so the AG can see his face. Also, because it's Nadler we're talking about, the level of shamelessness on display is again at record levels.
First, a brief reminder that Rep. Nadler is a staunch "more gun laws" Democrat:

Republicans’ thoughts & prayers are forgotten when it comes time to vote on common sense gun laws. Stand with me & demand action: https://t.co/PsF75msifE

But of course, there are exceptions to how those laws should be applied.
Hunter Biden clearly broke several laws, but suddenly Nadler doesn't think those laws should apply to the president's son:

Shouldn't the "more gun laws" Democrat Rep. Highpockets Nadler instead call for more prosecutions of those he claims aren't charged for the same felonies that Hunter Biden has been?
Democrats quickly dropped all that “no one is above the law” mantra. Nadler says Hunter shouldn’t be prosecuted as others rarely are under this law. Gee, who makes these laws? https://t.co/6A9skcNaRp

Can a reporter ask Nadler if this means he's now arguing that there should be FEWER gun laws?

Unless you're a prominent Democrat, then you should be above the law.
