I've pointed this out often but it's always worth repeating, but statements like this one from New York City Mayor Eric Adams (then a candidate) are aging worse by the day:

Massachusetts officials overwhelmed by arriving migrants have activated the National Guard as they scramble for more housing, while aid groups say they have been pushed to the limit and protests abound.
Gov. Maura Healey mobilized 250 members of the Massachusetts National Guard on Thursday to help transport the latest wave of asylum seekers to shelters across the state.
But much like the crisis overtaking the Big Apple, Massachusetts has nowhere near enough housing or resources currently available to accommodate the influx.
Gee, people streaming illegally across the border in droves doesn't seem like much of a problem to northern lib politicians as long as the problem (they support enabling) stays somebody else's problem. Now that they're getting hit with the consequences of the very policies they support the virtue signaling has hit a brick wall.
All it took to completely break blue states was a couple bus loads of illegals. After decades of calling southern states bigots for the crime of wanting borders.
