Not long ago Chicago voters showed their previous lefty mayor the door and replaced her with somebody even more to the Left who objects to using words like "mob" to describe, well, a mob:
Large youth gatherings downtown have vexed Chicago police and other city leaders for the last decade, often springing up via social media flyers during warm summer months and sometimes turning violent. The mayor, who despite pushback has continued to vow that he will never demonize youth, elaborated Wednesday that his administration has “intercepted” other attempts at large gatherings that “could have been even more severe,” while also taking umbrage with the teens being described as a “mob.”
“That’s not appropriate. We’re not talking about mob actions,” Johnson said. “We have to be careful when we use language to describe certain behavior. There’s a history in this city, and, I mean, to refer to children as like baby Al Capones is not appropriate.”
Shockingly, electing a mayor who would say something like that hasn't done much to lower the crime rate in Chicago. That means other ideas must be put forward, and one City Council member supports having limited shooting hours.
No, seriously:
In crime-plagued Chicago, city council member has a plan: Let's designate 12 hours of each day for murders and not do any shooting the other 12. From @DailyMail: https://t.co/SOdoVznQZf

You can't make this stuff up (because unfortunately you don't have to).

This would be a much better solution, but unfortunately, it's not catching on:
