The Democrats, including the Biden White House, have been gaslighting at record levels when it comes to the issue of inflation.
The Biden White House claims inflation has "fallen" in that it's rising at a slower rate than before:
Today, we learned annual inflation has fallen 12 straight months to 3% – the lowest in over two years.

I ran for office to grow the economy from the middle out and bottom up, not the top down: that’s exactly what we’re doing.

Occasionally the media will help them out, like when NBC News used the words "tumbled" and "decline" to describe what's happening with inflation:
BREAKING: Inflation tumbled to 3% in June, marking a 12th consecutive month of declines. https://t.co/u8F7RePgYa

A slower rate of growth is only a "decline" in government-speak, but because there's a Democrat in the White House the media considers themselves to be part of the administration's spin machine.
But occasionally the White House's gaslighting does lead to some fact-check perfection, which happened when the WH quote tweeted Karine Jean-Pierre's claim that got nuked by Community Notes:
You guys really quote tweeted a tweet that has been community noted? Talk about lack of awareness at the White House. yikes

That's just perfect!

They tried, but it ended up being what I'll call part of the "self-own circle of BS life."

Womp womp!
The White House social media team wrote "it's just that easy." What, lying?
Because that's about the only thing they seem to know how to do.
