CNN fact-checker offers a handy guide to 'election deniers' on the ballot (but only Republicans)

In a narrative sense, when the Democrats tell the media to jump, the response is “how high?” For example, the Dems called a law supported by Gov. Ron DeSantis in Florida as the “don’t say gay” bill, and that’s precisely how the media reported the name of the legislation.

Next is the term “election deniers” which Democrats like to use in reference to Republicans who thought something fishy happened in the 2020 election. That is the focus of a CNN fact-checker’s piece on “election deniers,” but only the Republican ones:

Here’s how the article begins:

Election deniers are running for important offices around the country in the November 8 midterms. And some of them will win.

Dozens of Republicans trying to be elected in 2022 as governor, state secretary of state or US senator have joined former President Donald Trump in baselessly rejecting or questioning the legitimacy of President Joe Biden’s victory in 2020. Some of these candidates have even attempted to overturn the 2020 results.

The presence of so many 2020 deniers in 2022 races presents a challenge for American democracy. The winners could play a major role in shaping elections in 2024 and beyond.

So, there are zero Democrats running this year who claimed the 2016 election stolen or Stacey Abrams’ loss to Brian Kemp in 2018 because of voter suppression? Well, that’s not how the article is framed, and for a reason we’ll get to in a minute.

How often in 2016 and beyond did CNN hosts and guests push the “Russia collusion” BS that was clearly another attempt to claim Trump conspired to steal that election from Hillary Clinton? And yet CNN still has Adam Schiff on to this day.

You’ll notice the CNN article is singularly focused on the 2020 election, which just happens to help avoid any narrative conflicts.

Abrams is running for governor this year but didn’t claim that there were shenanigans in the 2020 election so she can remain off CNN’s list.

None of these Democrats denied the results of the 2020 election so they’re not on the above list:

Democrats know they can also count on the media to parrot the language they want to be used:

The Dems certainly appreciate the loyalty of a large segment of the dishonest media.
