Here's a report on what percentage of US military aid sent to Ukraine 'doesn't make it to the front lines'

At the beginning of this month, the US Department of Defense announced “security assistance valued at up to $550 million to meet Ukraine’s critical security and defense needs.” That’s of course in addition to the billions and billions in aid that has already been sent:

Capabilities in this package include equipment the Ukrainians are using effectively to defend their country such as:

1. 75,000 rounds of 155mm artillery ammunition;

2. Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS).

In total, the United States has committed approximately $8.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden Administration. Since 2014, the United States has committed more than $10 billion in security assistance to Ukraine.

To meet its evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities.

After billions of dollars in aid, equipment and weapons have been sent to Ukraine, it looks like the media’s starting to perform some journalism on this matter. One report says that 70 percent of U.S. aid sent to Ukraine “doesn’t make it to the front lines”:

Thirty percent? Not everybody is shocked:

Oh, for sure!

Not long ago NPR had a story that basically asked if it’s wise to blindly send billions of dollars to Ukraine given the history of corruption.

We’re fairly certain Biden will try to keep the money flowing to Ukraine (having solved all other problems at home).
