You’ve seen “Republicans pounce” — you’ve seen “GOPers seize” — get ready for Republicans “lock on”:
Republicans have locked onto the invasion of Ukraine to push for more domestic fossil-fuel extraction.
A sample of what they're saying 👇https://t.co/btKgGkSiVz

You know what might be more useful and very telling reporting? Digging into why most DC Democrats don’t support that.
You say this like it's a bad thing?

Being less reliant on Russian oil would be a good thing right about now.

“Republicans pounce on common sense” is what this has come to.
If America produced more oil domestically, we'd be less dependent on unstable foreign sources, drive prices down, and in a position to help allies in times of shortage.
But @politicongress doesn't need this logic, their job it to attack Republicans https://t.co/ryRQ6XTlfN

So obviously a good idea even the left should embrace it.

I mean ya, this is what serious people would be doing

Yes, Republicans are trying to make the United States less reliant on foreign energy.
The horror. https://t.co/5CZLidRZcH

The media is nothing if not totally predictable.
I'd rather have lower fuel prices and be energy independent instead of handing Putin any more $$ for his crappy oil https://t.co/KgpcibUR8U

Remember: if you give $20 to the Canadian truck convoy, you are a terrorist. But if your government buys fossil fuels from a guy like Putin, it’s totally OK. https://t.co/O2TL3vCRPU
