Earlier today White House economic adviser Brian Deese said the Freedom Convoy protesters are hurting the economy, and somehow he made that claim without laughing:

The self-unawareness and gaslighting now continue with White House chief of staff Ron Klain, who spotted a proposal that he’d like everybody to believe will help bring down inflation that’s at a 40 year high:
If Congress wants to fight inflation, here's some good advice: https://t.co/QSjxB3a6Mg

There simply is NO problem that the Biden administration doesn’t want everybody to believe can be solved by spending a lot more money.

That is the opposite of helping inflation.

Spend more money to help people combat the effects of what happened when too much money was spent? Brilliant. #DefinitionOfInsanity https://t.co/h2fmZzvs7D

Spend more. Got it. 🤡 https://t.co/UjLks2eT8S

GOP Rep. Chip Roy has a better idea:
Hey, @WHCOS here's a chart for you:
Inflation is at a 40-YEAR HIGH & climbing.
Real hourly wages are DOWN nearly 2% due to price spikes.
Two ways to start fixing this NOW:
1. Congress must STOP SPENDING money we don't have
2. The Fed has to STOP PRINTING MONEY to enable them pic.twitter.com/lq1mGblmCf

That seems to make a lot more sense than Klain’s gaslighting.
