Earlier this week Dr. Zeke Emanuel joined MSNBC’s Kristen Welker. Emanuel’s appearance came short after Pfizer submitted a request to the FDA for an emergency use authorization to use the company’s COVID-19 vaccine on children from 6 months to 5 years of age. The story and tweet were incredibly ironic considering these are some of the same people who would like to remove Joe Rogan from Spotify for spreading “misinformation.”
MSNBC’s tweet which linked to their story said the following: “With the omicron variant, kids are either going to get the vaccine or they’re likely to get a serious condition of omicron,’ Dr. Emanuel says.”
At that point MSNBC was hit with an avalanche of people calling BS on that. Eventually even MSNBC apparently agreed:
MSNBC removed this article due to its gross inaccuracies.

Here’s what MSNBC had to say:
Editor’s note: A post that quoted Dr. Zeke Emanuel discussing the omicron variant and children has been removed after it was discovered to include a misstatement.

A “misstatement,” eh?
U mean “misinformation “?

In other words, misinformation. https://t.co/k39ZwxnCv3

Everything he has ever said has been “disinformation” https://t.co/sf0rXnWFma

And none of that will deter mainstream media outlets from having Emanuel back on to offer his “expertise.”
@MSNBC You need to delete this Tweet. It's obvious you understand that you are engaging in #misinformation since you removed the article. That is insufficient. @TwitterSafety pic.twitter.com/HaoS3AbwCK

Where was Twitter the whole time a tweet that contained misinformation by MSNBC’s own admission remained up?
