'Not happening'! Advice from 'experts' who suggest turning off air conditioning to slow coronavirus spread isn't getting a warm reception

What better time of year than mid-July for a “coronavirus meets climate change” hot take of a “study” offering up a reason to turn off your air conditioning?

We’d point out what “experts” suggested that but why bother when 2020 has rendered the word completely meaningless.

It’s a hard pass from us too, but they do suggest an alternate:

Dr Shaun Fitzgerald, a fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering, told The Telegraph: “The recommended strategy now, if you have one of these split units, is to throw the window open and sacrifice your desire for a cold or cooler environment.

“If there is a modicum of wind it will move the air around. If you can’t open a window turn the unit off.”

Opening a window with the air conditioning on? That sounds pretty energy efficient. *Eye roll*

They’re definitely being written as we speak.

But “science,” or something!
