As the Democrats in the House obsess over impeachment, it’s business-as-usual in the Senate, especially when it comes to confirming President Trump’s judicial nominees:
If the U.S. Senate confirms a batch of judicial nominees now working their way through the approval process, a quarter of the 179 appeals court judges in the U.S. will be appointees of President Trump https://t.co/bpJqylKY37

On that point, HuffPost’s senior politics reporter joined Democrats in sounding the alarm:
Good morning! ☕ Trump keeps naming people to be lifetime federal judges who were rated "not qualified" by the American Bar Association and Senate Republicans keep confirming them anyway. https://t.co/NEoY4M6GK8

Republicans have already confirmed FIVE of Trump's lifetime federal judges deemed unqualified for the job after the ABA's thorough review, which includes interviews with dozens of each of their colleagues.
2 more are moving along now.
This is fine! https://t.co/DH1kNUBiYB

Here's a sampling of some of the lifetime federal judges that Republicans have confirmed, despite their embarrassing and rare "not qualified" ratings by the ABA. pic.twitter.com/dcsOYwILT5

Lawrence VanDyke is currently one of Trump's judicial nominees moving through the Senate confirmation process.

It's rare and embarrassing when any judicial nominee gets a "not qualified" ABA rating.
For context: In his entire 8 years in office, Obama nominated 0 judicial nominees who got this rating.
In 3 years, Trump has nominated 9 and gotten 5 confirmed.

According to the American Bar Association?
Because the ABA are being a bunch of political hacks https://t.co/TuJ7j4dHIz

The ABA is a liberal racket. https://t.co/XOHJ8RLnYm

A couple of years ago, Sen. Ted Cruz said the ABA “should not be treated as a fair or impartial arbiter of merit,” so perhaps Republicans in the Senate don’t take the ABA’s opinion as serious as the liberal media and others.

Remember when a certain former two-term Democrat president said “elections have consequences” and the liberal media cheered? So do we.
ABA is a joke. The ratings are nakedly partisan. https://t.co/h6lFBkf7lG
