'WTF is wrong with you?' Max Boot slams Trump for saying ISIS leader 'died as a coward' (banner week for WaPo continues)

So we’ve reached this stage in the “Trump announces death of ISIS leader after U.S.-led raid” story:

This might be the most unnecessary “ACKSHULLY” in the history of twitter dot com

— Dave Gray (@docgray81) October 28, 2019

I regret to announce Max Boot is at it again.

— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) October 28, 2019

And “at it again” he was. This one comes with a major beverage warning:

Trump could not have heard “whimpering and crying” because there was no audio, and Esper and Milley refused to confirm those details. The assertion that Baghdadi died as a coward was contradicted by the fact that rather than be captured he blew himself up. https://t.co/R77v7ef0GR

— Max Boot (@MaxBoot) October 28, 2019

Um, wow.

It’s been a banner week for Washington Post writers!

Blowing yourself up to avoid capture is the height of courage. https://t.co/ccFfwb81nQ

When Trump Derangement Syndrome makes you defend the dying honor of

*checks notes*

The worlds worst terrorist

“The assertion that Baghdadi died as a coward was contradicted by the fact that rather than be captured he blew himself up.”

ISIS thanks you, @MaxBoot!

— SETH WEATHERS (@sethweathers) October 28, 2019

So suicide is brave? And what of the three innocent children that died with him in the explosion? https://t.co/LaeaLP0Y3I

— Mark Hemingway (@Heminator) October 28, 2019

A stunning amount of bravery, right?

— Seth Mandel (@SethAMandel) October 28, 2019

I didn’t think we’d get a “actually, detonating yourself and your three small children is not cowardly” take today, yet here we are. https://t.co/f1OK6kfyL0

— ???? ?????? ????? (@BecketAdams) October 28, 2019

"The assertion that Baghdadi died as a coward was contradicted by the fact that rather than be captured he blew himself up."

Committing suicide to avoid capture is literally called "the coward's way out." https://t.co/K1H6kv9cZn

— Eric Spencer (@JustEric) October 28, 2019

What Baghdadi did to those kids is the definition of cowardice.

In other news, @MaxBoot is a dickpiece.

— ConservativeBlackMan ???? (@NevilleD35) October 28, 2019

GP "Al-Baghdadi wasn't a coward because he took three of his own children to hide behind." <= hot take https://t.co/0qUsJSWM93

— The Gormogons (@Gormogons) October 28, 2019

A take so hot that even oven mitts wouldn’t keep you from getting burned.

When Trump Derangement Syndrome is added to the DSM this tweet will be used as an example. Seriously, Max, seek help. https://t.co/Ro7mlnRZEe

— Heather (@dswhisperer) October 28, 2019

What an absolutely garbage take. “He’s no coward — he bravely committed suicide!” Imagine hating Trump so much that this is a point you’d make. https://t.co/fp9Tr7xlFd

— Colin Duffy (@TheRightDuff) October 28, 2019

Even I didn't think Boot would go full Boot, and would go the "The terrorist is more courageous than Trump!" route.

I mean…I guess… Kudos for taking the road less taken, dude? https://t.co/RSaW6NQcDw

— Pradheep J. Shanker (@Neoavatara) October 28, 2019

Sign you are truly suffering from TDS?

When you start praising the leader of ISIS to make your case against Trump. pic.twitter.com/p8vPPcpZtH

— Pradheep J. Shanker (@Neoavatara) October 28, 2019

If the stories are accurate, he blew up three of his children. Max came not to bury Baghdadi, but to praise him. https://t.co/9WF4VbTWFC

Broke: Terrorists are bad.

Woke: Terrorists are brave.

I'll pass on the wokeness here Maxy. https://t.co/ipLO6XneFk

— Daniel West (@corcovado110) October 28, 2019

Sorry for your loss, Max. Thinking of you today

— Chris Nodimas? (@CholeraFan) October 28, 2019

It is shockingly easy to remain critical of the president without defending mass-murdering rapists. That some people can't even manage that is pretty bizarre.

— Stephen Gutowski (@StephenGutowski) October 28, 2019

WTF is wrong with you? https://t.co/IEePtK5eOm

— Smokin Monkey. Boo or something. (@ARaised_Eyebrow) October 28, 2019

This is one instance where I say who cares if Trump did lie. But Orange Man Bad doesn't permit Boot to accept that (even falsely) portraying him as a whimpering coward is better than him going out as a hero. What a sad, sad man you are, Boot. https://t.co/wJbx7AwKUp

— LB (@beyondreasdoubt) October 28, 2019

"You know, since Orange Man Bad, I've reconsidered the stance that suicide bombers are cowards. They're actually very brave." – @MaxBoot

— RBe (@RBPundit) October 28, 2019

Wait…

Is Max Boot saying Baghdadi was brave??

Didn't see that one coming. TDS is real, yo. https://t.co/sQE5z2vMuO

— RBe (@RBPundit) October 28, 2019

It most certainly is!
