With Nancy Pelosi now saying she supports an impeachment inquiry for President Trump, the media have an even bigger ball of yarn to bat around 24/7. One example can be found in this video of CNN’s Jake Tapper comparing what hasn’t happened yet to two other U.S. presidents’ situations:
CNN's Jake Tapper: "Nixon had a much better legal apparatus to defend him and Bill Clinton did as well during their impeachments than President Trump has, but President Trump has something that Nixon did not have. He has Fox News. He has an army of trolls. He has websites…" pic.twitter.com/jFc8Tny1ZP

First of all, Nixon’s defense against impeachment was to resign before it happened. But how could Tapper or anybody else know what Trump’s defense would be for something that hasn’t even yet begun?
I don't know what Tapper means that Nixon and Clinton had "a much better legal apparatus to defend" them than Trump does. Does he think Rudy Giuliani is going to be Trump's defense attorney in an impeachment trial? He won't be. https://t.co/Z0p77l51EN

And also…
Clinton had CNN

Well Bill Clinton had CNN, so…. https://t.co/A41rqRDkdD

We doubt anybody at CNN is self-aware enough to see it that way, or this way:
Translation: Trump has social media.
In the Nixon/Clinton era, MSM controlled the narrative.
Poor little MSM. They lost all that control. https://t.co/LZAipzcrq3

The MSM’s inability to fully control the narrative drives them nuts, and we’re here for it.
He has the truth behind him and a media and opposition party that’s frankly insane.

I used to have a degree of respect for this guy Tapper. He has obviously gone to the dark side and dug in.

I think it may be an edict by Zucker that @FoxNews must be referenced at least once every hour. How’s that working out for CNN? https://t.co/vqnwkAnb9J
